my husband and i were trying to fix the barn. there was a 4x4 wet under the weeds. i slid on it, my hand went out and hit a big rock ... i heard a crack. broke my wrist. my right one no less so once a cast is put on, i can't even drive because i have a stick

poor ayla doesn't know what is going on, why i am not picking her up... she has been going to my husband for attention which is really surprising him.

i prayed for and believe i will have a quick recovery. hee hee, i even prayed for people in the hospital

Oh Dee, I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll keep you in my prayers also. Poor Ayla. They can sense when things aren't right.

I seem to have a long list for prayers these days. I've never seen so many repair men around here in all the years I've lived here. We've had tornados all over the place lately. Just read about another town, where I use to teach, getting hit badly with two tornados. Seven houses were completely destroyed.

Oh my gosh! I am sorry! I'll be praying you heal very soon! I know how bad we feel when we cannot pick up our furkids!

Do you feel pretty good, or are you in a lot of pain?

thank you all for your good wishes.

sometimes it really hurts, sometimes it is just a nusance. i see the orthopedic on thursday so i am sure when the permanite cast is on, the bones won't move any more. if i keep it in the sling, it will br comfortable but then i will put it on a pillow and it will ack until i get used to it

Wow, Mary Lou! It is kind of unusual for you guys to have tornados, isn't it?

Well, they're not common, Phyl but we've had them before. We had a real bad one several years ago. It took out the entire main street of a town. These were unusual since we had them in a few towns at the same time.

Well, Carmella, her friend, Paul, myself and of course Katie and Benji took a long walk down my street tonight and we were surprised to see the damage that was done. They had this huge crane taking down what was left of a huge tree and removing all the large limbs that had fallen. There were a couple of other houses with huge limbs down as well. Apparently, the damage was more widespread than they though at first. I was very lucky...thank God!!!!

Tell me about it, Dee. I can';t remember when we had two nice days together and today is no different. I have a gentleman coming to trim and clean out the jungle way down in the back of my yard but he hasn't been able to do it because of all the rain so it keeps getting worse.

I think I could use your goats, Dee. We had another rainy day today and it really came down hard all day. I think it's letting up a bit tonight...thank goodness.

ortho dr said this type of break usually requires surgery but mine was okay and he didn't know why (thank you Lord) they x-rayed to make sure it didn't move and it looked better. (thank you Lord) he is going to take another x-ray next week to make sure it doesn't shift. i said it won't. he said, good, positive thoughts. i said, positive prayers.

so now i have a cast going from my fingers to my shoulder. and you know it's bright pink!

thank you everyone for your prayers

So glad that your didn't need surgery, Dee. You take care of yourself now and do what the doctor tells you to do.
