Well, Petey was trembling and hid under my bed. But I had a friend over who they love and I think that helped a lot. Last year it took four days before they would go outside alone again. This time they went out right away the next morning, so that was great. Then last night a few more were set off. Back under the bed went Petey, but everything's fine today.

It was much the same with Keiko. The fireworks don't seem to bother Toshi or Beni. Once the fireworks started that set Keiko to pacing and pacing. He used to go hide in the closet so this is somewhat of an improvement. He also used to get antsy when there were thunderstorms around but they don't seem to bother him as much as they used to.
