Miss Lexie

Grhndad Aug 03, 2009 10:12 AM

commenced her journey to the bridge at 9.33 AM. The pain meds no longer had any effect on relieving her pain. This morning she did even want to get out of bed. She did get up about 8:00, took her pain meds, went out and then ate . She then climbed into her chair and stayed there until we left to go to the vet. This morning Katie went out with her and stayed out with her until she was ready to come in. It seems like Katie knew what was happening.

This sweetheart left us all to soon. She was so young and full of life. So sweet and loving. She loved playing and her stuffies. She was in our life all to short of time only 8 months but she had all the love we could give her.

Fly free little sweet one. You will be missed!!!!!!

Yes, she will be missed.. by all of us who were lucky enough to meet her in person (and fall in love with her) and by those who have read your posts and fallen in love with your descriptions and pictures. I am so sorry that your time with her was so short. It is so hard when they are so young and so active and this damn disease (or a freak accident) takes them from us. She will always be in your heart and in the hearts of those who knew her. She has you to thank for all of that love. My heart breaks for her and for you, Janie and Sharon.

Fly free lexie.. God Speed sweetie. You were loved by so many.

I am so sorry to hear this. You were a wonderful final stop for this girl on her journey. Somehow she knew that you would give her all that she needed and have the strength to help her over the bridge peacefully when the time came.
In return, she gave you unending love and wonderful memories of the girl that spent more time upside down than rightside up

Hugs to you all.
Fly free sweet Lexie you beautiful angel !!!

Ok.. I'm in tears. I am so very VERY sorry. That sweet little angel. I am just so glad that she was in a real home, with tons of love, with people who would care for her in her final hours.

I am holding Lexie and the Bristor family in my thoughts and prayers.

Fly free little angel.

Dogs and cats come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.
