Second Try MS Zeus

DnDShihTzu Aug 17, 2009 09:55 PM

Ok I thought I had already posted this but it didn't show up so I will try again, I apologize if it shows up twice.
Sunday in Southaven, MS: Zeus went Winners Dog for another point and now just needs one single point for his Championship.
See pic below.
Poor little Miss Gibson got a scratch on her eye and could not be shown the last two days. She went for a visit to the vet today and he said she was almost healed already, thankfully I had medicated eye ointment with me and kept putting it in her eye.
My husband got burned really badly at work while I was gone and has second degree burns on his arms and a pretty bad burn on his stomach from 360 degree oil that was splashed on him by another worker.
I played nurse, housekeeper, cook and groomer all day and I am beat.....

Hooray for Zeus and glad Miss Gibson's eye is healing. Hope your hubby's burns heal quickly. You've been a busy girl.

Gibbie is all better her eye looks really good.
Hubby is doing a little better, his arm is still really sore and has to be bandaged. His stomach peeled and looks red but isn't exposed like his arm. We are cleaning it 3 x a day and re-bandaging. I think it is going to be bad scars.
I am at shows in Kansas City now, VooDoo went reserve winners dog today, and I showed Gibson but she did not win.....hope for better luck tomorrow.......TY for all the well wishes...

Congratulations to Zeus!

I am so glad the scratched eye is healing well!

I am very sorry your hubby was burned! How awful. You HAVE been busy caring for them. I do hope your hubby will heal quickly, that is terrible pain for him.

Oh dear, Denice so sorry to hear about your husband. That had to be very painful. My prayers are with him that all will heal well.

Glad to hear that Zeus did well but sorry to hear about Miss Gibson but glad that she's healing nicely. You had all better take a nice, long rest so things can get back to normal again and all will be feeling well.

So sorry about the burns. Prayers being said.

One more point to go yea!!

I used to use terrimycin for the goats eyes but on a different forum, they said to use Neosporin or simular. Since when a goat scratches it's eye, it turns to pink eye and must get treated a couple of times a day, the triple antibiotic ointment is alot cheaper to use. It would help in a pinch.

I have the terrymicin, but my vet prefers this bactracin eye ointment which was the one I used.
I think they are both pretty good.
Thanks the burns are looking a wee bit better although I admit the one on his wrist bothers me it is the worst one and still has no skin over the wound.

Zeus does not belong to me he is owned by Joanne Bandes she is thrilled and can't wait for the last point.....
I always keep a doggie first aid kit with me, it has all sorts of eye and ear remedies, flagyll, antibiotics and several things, this way I am prepared if something goes wrong. Of course I always defer to my vet, but I knew this ointment was ok to use and no matter what it was would keep her eye lubricated and free of infection. She is completely fine now and we are leaving in just a little while for Kansas City.
