She is such a good girl

deetu Aug 19, 2009 10:44 AM

My girlfriend had to groom Ayla again for me. She didn't hear me say to shave her armpits last time so they knotted up. I used the lightweight clippers I use for my husband (hey, I can groom dogs, I can trim up my husband. used to cut my son's hair too until he decided he needed to go to an expensive place that makes it look like he needs a haircut...)and it burned her. I felt terrible.

Anyway, Loretta told me that Ayla wouldn't be done for three hours and she will call us. We go and visit with my in-laws, had lunch. She calls me once to remind her what blade to use. Then two hours later, she calls to tells us Ayla was done, which was good because my husband had to go to work that night.

When we picked her up, she said that she had so many trouble dogs that day that she didn't realize that Ayla would be so good and she would finish her so quickly. She even said Ayla tried to help by moving her head around (I used to groom a poodle who used to turn his front legs for me. doesn't help though because it messes up the line. it was funny) I think it was more her ears constantly itch but I didn't tell her that.

So Loretta kept gushing how good and sweet Ayla is. And she gets such a kick out of the bag because Ayle jumps right into it whenever she can. I told her to put the bag in the cage with her.

Get the cast off on Monday. I want it off, I want it off, I want it off...

That's wonderful, Dee that Ayla is so good for her grooming. I wonder if it's a black and white Shih Tzu trait. LOL Katie is excellent for me too.....even when I didn't know what I was doing. I'm much better at it now. That's a beautiful picture of Ayla.

I can't blame you for wanting the cast off. It must be especially hot with these high temps we've been getting. Thank goodness that it's much more comfortable today. It may be bath day for Katie tomorrow.
