I found a big bottle of Glu & Chon at the Walmart. 1500 mg for Glucosamine and 1300 mg for Chondroitin. I noticed that my dog is having some difficult getting up on the couch or bed and he cries a little but the pills made for dogs come in such little amounts and I rather buy this 30.00 bottle that comes with 300 pills instead of a smaller amount for the same amount of money.

Would it be safe to give him those pills from Walmart?

It will be safe. You should be able to determine within a few weeks how effective it is.
