Preliminary counts are in....

Shboom Sep 15, 2009 11:07 PM

Preliminary counts are in for the big Wine Country dog show next week. Ring times aren't up yet but 20 Shibas are being shown on Thursday and Friday while 38 are being shown on Saturday and Sunday. Looks like another good time this year!

Hello All,
I have missed posting, but I always take time to read about you and your wonderful pups....No excuse, but going back to work after having the summer off, is HARD! Believe me, I'm not complaining because I know how lucky I am to have summers off and to have a job to go back to, but I do miss being with my pups. I really am interested in this Big Wine Country Dog Show - is it televised? Also, I wanted to take a bunch of pictures of Beni and Kari, but my camera lens won't open...I'm going to call in for tech help but if anyone can give me any advice in the meantime it would be greatly appreciated! Hope to hear from you soon - in the meantime thoughts for a lot of belly rubs, curly tight tails, and shiba smiles for all your pups are going your way!

I can imagine it is hard going back to work after having the summer off... it's hard enough after only having a week off!

The Wine Country Shows aren't televised but it is one of the biggest shows in country. Pretty much all of the states will be represented. It's actually compromised of 4 days with a different kennel club sponsoring each day. In addition to the conformation shows there are also obedience and agility shows. Each day will average about 3,000 to 3,500 dogs for well over 12,000 dogs over the 4 days. It's really a great time... I go all 4 days. In addition to the dogs there are concession stands and numerous vendors selling all kinds of dog stuff. Best of all... it's free admission and parking!

Can't help much with the camera but starting with the obvious... does it need new batteries?

I hope to see some kind of video on youtube re:the show - it sounds amazing!!!!
Also, If my camera is not working because of a low/bad battery I may disappear, out of embarrassment, into doghobbyist oblivion forever.....I am off to check my battery!
