Newfoundland in Alabama??

Would a newfoundland be miserable in the state of Alabama? i've always wanted a Newfie but i don't know if one could cope w/ the weather down here? any feedback? Thanks

Leslie, it might not be a good fit weather wise for a Newf to live in Alabama. A quick check of breeder listings also shows none in the state. The dog really prefers a cooler climate. Still though it might be doable is certain conditions could be met and maintained at all times.
