Posting photos

I've mentioned my sister's Pit here in this forum before (See My Sister's Funny Pit) and I would like to post a photo of him. When I try, I am told the photo is too large, too many pixels, etc. When I try cropping, it crops out what I don't want, but then it enlarges the part I do want until it fits the original size, like a blow up. How do I change the size of the photo itself so I can upload it?

If you don't already have a photo editing program on your computer you'll need one. A very good and free one is called Irfanview. I've used it for years for editing pictures both in size and quality. It is very easy to download, install and use. Also be sure to download the plugins for the program. Everything can be found at the following link....

Another idea and perhaps the easiest would be to change the resolution on your camera. Most are set very high. The best size for posting photos would be around 640x480.
