Can't get away with anything...

Skaket Oct 09, 2009 01:24 PM

Boy, you can't get away with anything with Katie. They had bags of candy on sale at the supermarket the other day so I thought that I would get my Halloween supply. I almost never buy candy for myself but if it's in the house, I will eat it. I took one bite and saw Katie's little head pop up from her bed and she was out of it like a shot. I gave her a few tiny pieces but no chocolate and she was happy. I think I had better put the rest of the candy out of my sight or there won't be any left for Halloween. LOL

Ha ha, I did that one year. I bought Kit Kats in case there were any left over because we like them and I bought them early one year. Well, the kids started coming and my husband said we had no more candy. WE HAD TWO BAGS and only a few kids come all the way to our house. Well, turned out my son and husband had both been helping themselves to the candy and not telling me so there were only 6 little bars left. We don't use our dishwasher so I hid them in there the next time.... except I found a year old bag there the next year.
All well.
Don't do Halloween anymore and don't have son here anymore so don't have to worry about it anymore.

I don't get all that many kids so I enjoy it, Dee especially with the little ones who are accompanied by a mom or dad. The older kids come later since they visit as many houses as they can get in while they're out. The town also has a special party for the high school kids to keep them out of trouble. LOL

Oh, she does, Sally. She's so funny. She knows she's going to get a treat when she does certain things and she just sits in the living room and waits for it. She only gets a tiny treat. I have the soft Nutro Sticks and can break off a tiny piece.

ML, That is so funny! Whenever I make popcorn, mine both know they will get a couple pieces. They wait patiently for it to pop and then run to the couch where I will be sitting and give them theirs. They know us better than we know ourselves! LOL

They sure do know, Denice. You can't get away with anything...especially if it involves food.
