Halloween In Patrick's Neighborhood

dollarbyll Oct 31, 2009 06:25 PM

It was great weather this afternoon in NYC for Halloween.
The trick or treators were out in force.

Here is a video of Patrick the shiba inu greeting everyone that came by his house on Halloween.

Patrick looked very calm and regal. And he seemed to enjoy being petted. Was that a real bird in the tree, or part of the decor? Is Patrick's dad a dentist?

Nice video, thanks, Bill!

Yes that was a real bird in the tree.

That was Sydney my yellow naped amazon parrot.
I have had her for twenty years now.
Her wings are clipped and the weather was warm enough for her to sit in "her" tree.
She is not as "friendly" as Patrick so keeping her in the tree lets her see all the trick or treators and for them to see her.
By keeping her out of reach, it also makes sure that no fingers get accidently get bit.

No I am not a dentist but I am employed by the company that makes the toothbrushes.

Very cool! That's a great idea giving out the toothbrushes!

Fun! Parents must have love you (toothbrushes) and the kids too (dog!). Who was the girl in the gold outfit and long blonde wig supposed to be? "Cher" was my first thought, but surely no six year old dresses as Cher these days!

That was my next door neighbor.
She was Hanna Montana, who I am told is very popular with the kids.

Too funny! That makes a lot more sense than Cher!
