Hi! I have my first new puppy, a shepard/doberman mix. His name is Buddy and I am falling in love! I want to make sure I take good care of him. Does anyone here use dog vitamins/supplements? Do I need them? And if so, what kind do I need?

It's entirely your choice what you feed your new pup. However by feeding a high quality puppy food for his first year would give him all of the nutrients and supplements he would need to grow into a healthy adult dog.
