Katie's not spoiled.....

Skaket Nov 08, 2009 03:08 PM

Well, since we had one of our rare beautiful days, I decided to do a little more raking on my front lawn. The oak leaves are not all down yet but it was too nice a day to waste inside. Katie was trying to help by running through my piles of leaves so I decided to put her up on the front stoop. She looked very uncomfortable on the cememt stoop so I brought out her bed so she would be more comfortable. LOL Anyone else do crazy things with their dogs? LOL

Oh, Katie loves her bed, Sally. She's gone through a couple but I got smart when I bought this one. It has a zipper all the way around so that protects the foam inside although I think the foam is ready to be replaced now. When we go to bed at night she has a scatter rug that she likes and starts off on that. She's always in her bed in the morning though.

Ayla has four beds around the house. One is in the kitchen, one is in the entry between the kitchen and living room and one is in the living room. She uses all three. The forth one is in the upstairs bathroom because she cannot leave me alone long enough for me to shower. And of course, she sleeps in our bed at night, covered by her own blanket.

The other day she was trying to get to me in the wood shed so my husband brought her a carpet so she wouldn't fall between the slats. She was fine until she saw the cat.

You know we cook the raw diet and pick out the bone pieces, right? Oh, and whenever we travel anywhere with her, she is always in her bag.

Oh dear Dee I had better not tell Katie that Ayla has four beds. LOL It's funny because I bought beds for both my beagle and my cocker but neither one of them used them. Katie also sleeps on a chair and the couch but for serious sleeping, she goes in her bed. I tried having Katie sleep in my bed when she was younger but she always jumped off. I have a high bed and I though she might hurt herself so I started bringing her own bed up to the bedroom and she seems happy with that arrangement.

Here''s a picture of Katie as a pup with her first bed. This is why I got a bed with a cover that zipped all around it. LOL

Trudy is spoiled in many ways. I even had a babysitter for her a week ago at my son's wedding in El Paso. It worked great. My friends traveled three hours to do it. They brought their Tzu, Oliver and the dogs got along great. They all just relaxed in bed all day!

I think that they're all spoiled to a certain degree, Sally. Katie gets along well with other dogs too, Sally. She has a new friend, Juicy. Juicy is a Shih Tzu also. Of course, she has her best friend, Benji. They go for walks together almost every day.
