getting bigger?

deetu Nov 19, 2009 10:50 AM

So, I am looking at Ayla and thinking that she is looking bigger to me. Longer, larger... So I call the vet and ask if it is possible, where I was told no, after 16 months, that's it.

But the tech tells me that she has a maltese and when he looses weight, he looks bigger to her. I have had Ayla on a diet and she is looking slimmer (always hungry, begging for something)so guess there may be some truth in that. I want to bring her in to get weighed now to see. Vet said she should lose a pound more last time she saw her.

Do you know that she will be FIVE on Thanksgiving? Where does the time go? I could have sworn she was only going to be four.

I uploaded this picture 6 days after getting her. It was my first picture on this site.

I hear what you're saying, Dee. I think Katie can afford to drop a few pounds. She's very solid looking though...kind of like a tank. LOL I'm going to have to get a few new batteries and put her on the scale I have. I believe that the standard for the Shih Tzu is nine to sixteen pounds but I could be wrong on that, Of course Katie is fourteen years old now and while still active, she's not as active as she use to be. In fact, she's all curled up in her bed right now. LOL
