Finally.....

Well, after what seemed like days and days of rain, we had a beautiful, sunny day today with temps. in the mid 60's so I decided to do a little outside decorating for Christmas before any snow arrives. Katie wasn't much help since she slept on her blanket in the yard most of the time. Little Sammy won't be with us this year since he injured himself roaming the woods. LOL

We had such a weird night last night. We had the wood stove on and it became really, really hot in the house. The rain was coming down but the wind... man, the wind was scary. And there have been a couple of tornadoes touching down in New Jersey that never happened before so that had me worried. I looked at the computer and the temperature went from the low 40's to 60 during the night. No wonder the house was so hot.

I hear what you're saying, Dee. It's very unusual for us to have a beautiful, sunny day with temps. in the mid 60's in December. Unfortunately, it's supposed to be in the mid 40's tomorrow. I'm not crazy about real cold weather but I'll be happy as long as it's not accompanied by the white stuff. Even my reindeer told me today that they don't like being surrounded by a foot or more of snow. LOL If a heavy snow is predicted while the reindeer are in, I'm going to pull them up. Digging them out is NO fun. LOL

Stranger yet, my sister down in Texas is expecting 4-6 inches of snow. It was in the 80's the other day.

Wow, Dee that's quite a change in temps! Does that happen often there? It will take the body some time to adjust to those temps.

No, they usually get cooler temperature but not snow.
She told me that all the houses down there don't have insulation and have tile floors so every winter she complains that she is cold. I usually send her boot slippers for Christmas.

I'm excited because she is coming up to VA for Christmas and I'm going down right after to see her, her daughters and my father.

Eloise talked to my daughter in law, in Brenham, Texas, this morning and they were having a snow storm.

ML sorry about Sammy...sigh
I so look forward to this time of the year and seeing everyone's decorations. I won't be home so there will not be any decorating for me. I will try my best though to enjoy the sight of others hard work and keep some joy about the holidays.
You and Katie always do such a nice job.

I won't be decorating this year either. No one is coming to my house this year. I will be going to my nephew's house the week before to have an early Christmas. I do enjoy seeing other's decorations though
So glad Jesus was born to be our Savior

I was thinking about not putting my reindeer out this year but the weather was so nice that I decided I would. Now, I just have to get my candles in the windows and I'll be finished. I'm seeing more decorations this year than last year. I think the warmer temps. have a lot to do with it. I know if we had a foot of snow on the ground, Sam and Samatha wouldn't be out there LOL

Well today in Boston we have 3 inches of SNOW....yikes..
I am off to church and I think I am going to walk it, easier than trying to drive in it.

Hope everyone has a great day

Oh wow, Denice we had snow coming down last night like a blizzard but there was no accumulation this morning except for a little white stuff on the grass. I guess the ground was still warm enough to melt it on contact....thank goodness. I'm glad it happened that way since it prepars me for what's to come. LOL

Well, while walking Katie early this morning, I noticed that our road had been salted so we must have had some freezing last night or early this morning. I also had a dead battery in my car this morning. Better it should happen in the garage rather than in the parking lot of the super market. LOL At least I'll have a new battery for the frigid weather to come this winter.

You've got that right, Gary. When she was younger, she had so many things to amuse her and now, her main job seems to be to know where I am at all times. LOL She still doesn't climb the stairs though but she makes sure that she knows if I go up them.
