Cross Post - Found Shiba

Kiricki Dec 03, 2009 02:58 PM

This was posted on another list. If you think you know who she belongs to, email me and I'll get it back to Michelle.

"My neighbor in Hazelwood, MO, north side of Saint Louis, just called to say
she found a female Shiba in her back yard. She said it looks a lot like my
boy, so probably red or sesame, around 20 pounds, but she says the dog is
very skinny. We asked one other neighbor who has Shibas but it's not
theirs, nor did they know where she belongs.

She's very friendly, jumped right into her arms, wagged her tail at the
sight of the leash and friendly with the two Boston Terriers there.

We're going to try to get her scanned for microchips later today, but I'm
sending out the word, just in case anyone is looking for her.

I'll check with shelters and the like here, and I've emailed MSIR and SIRA.
Any other ideas of who to contact?

Thanks,
Michelle"

Happy ending to the story!

"Found her owners in the neighborhood. She just doesn't gain weight so it looked like she had been hungry for a while.

Aww glad this has a happy ending. LOL, I'm sure if Shiba ever got lost, they'd think she was starving too. She is a skinny thing, and a very picky eater.
