Well, Dee I awakened to about ten inches of heavier than lead snow. LOL They predicted that we would get perhaps a few inches before it changed to rain. Well, apparently it never changed to rain. I called Randy, the gentelman who plows for me and he has me plowed out now. Oh well, the first storm is always the hardest and then you get use to them.

You can say that again. Yuck is right. I went out and shoveled some of the driveway and the walk and it was wet and heavy. Then last night it rained and washed away most of the rest of it. Now they say we are in for several days of freezing weather after today so I guess we will be ice skating everywhere. There are still a few icy spots even though the temps are in the low 40's.
Everyone be careful and safe out there.

The first storm is always the hardest for me, Denice. We have a beautiful, sunny day today and my driveway is bone dry now. The snow blowers do a great job but they always leave a little snow behind them and with my driveway that's not acceptable. I still had to go out and scrape a little off of it. Katie also has a nice clear area in the front yard so she's happy. While I was doing that I always clear an path to the next house so it makes it easier for the mailman. My neighbor happened to be out so she cleared a path on her yard so the mailman has an easy walk from one house to the other. I doubt that this will be the last snow we'll get but at least I'm broken in now with the first one.

The path I mashed to the barn is slippery but it's better then walking in the snow.
Temps are to go in the 20's tomorrow here.
Hey Sally, did you get snow?

Dee and Ayla
Yes, the paths tend to freeze up if you get a little melting and then some freezing temps. I try to get right down to the grass but that's not always easy to do. I replaced one of my reindeer and put little Sammy out. He moves his head gently back and forth so we'll have a little action out there. LOL

Well, they had flurries in our forcast for today but they never arrived. I don't even like that forecast since I've seen a foot of "flurries" fall when a storm changes course. LOL
