They can really be stubborn. They love to eat bird food don't they? I had some in my feeders before I moved. So far in the new housen I don't have any. I haven't felt good enough to feed the birds though. I do have two new holly trees with berries. I hope they enjoy them. I do see birds like warblers eating tiny bugs in the plants.

They sure can be stubborn, Sally. Squeaker has been driving me crazy for a long time. LOL He and his buddy have eaten all the red berries off the bush so that's one of the reasons he's at the feeder. I guess I will have to move it to another window as I had planned. I wouldn't mind but he and his buddy clean out a tray in a couple of days.

Mary Lou,

We buy squirrel food which consists of corn, sunflower seed and peanuts for Peanut and Walnut and they leave the bird feed alone.

Yep, the squirrels very seldom eat the bird feed since I started feeding them their own food. We live at he end of a dead end street with no other houses close. I just scatter the squirrel food on the street in one area and the bird feed about a foot away and they happily eat independent of each other.

Looked out in a cherry tree this morning and there was a Robin eating some of the dried cherries. He looked pretty cold. Bet he wishes he had went south.

Wow, Gary I thought all Robins went south for the winter months. I haven't seen any around here. I wonder if he had been injured in some way and couldn't make the trip.

I didn't know that they sold squirrel food, Gary. I did notice that he liked the sunflower seeds the best. He always ate those first but he also ate the rest of the bird seed. LOL Squeaker must not be very fussy. I'll have to look for some of that the next time I go to Home Depot.

Mary Lou,

We buy it at Wal Mart in the section that sells the bird seed but I imagine Home Depot also sells it.

Thanks, Gary. I also found another bag of seed in the garage so I think I'll use that up first.
