BRRRRR so cold

Trudysmom Jan 06, 2010 08:24 PM

It is getting colder and colder down here in Texas. We are getting ready for a big freeze. I am keeping a shirt on Trudy, but we keep it warm inside.

I hear what you're saying, Sally. We're kind of use to it here in New England but I read where many states are experiencing much colder than usual temps. Even here in CT. we usually can get into the mid 30's this time of year but not so far this year. Even on a nice sunny day, there is very little melting. I had to go out and pour hot water on certain areas I wanted to be completely free of snow. LOL No long walks for Katie and her buddy, Benji lately either.

yes Sally this is quite different than any winter I have been through in a very long time. There is about 6 inches of snow here and we are expecting more, I am going to shows here in Ohio and just hope they keep the roads clear. Keep your fingers crossed for me and stay warm...

Stay safe, Denice and everyone. We are certainly not used to this.

If this is global warming, wow!

Mary Lou, you picture of Katie looks like a painting. Did you do something special?

No, Sally that picture was taken several years ago when Katie was still rather young but I thought that it was very fitting for the weather we've been having lately.

From what I've read and seen on TV about global warming, it doesn't necessarily mean that we all are going to have warmer winters and less snow etc. I guess now that they're seeing the results of it at the polar regions. Oh well, with the sun getting higher in the sky, we should start to warm up a little soon...I hope. LOL

Oh wow, Denice...guess all that snow takes getting use to. I can see some grass now which I couldn't see before so I guess we're making some progress. LOL Actually, we haven't had that much snow but the COLD has been terrible.

Good luck with your upcoming shows and try and stay warm.
