Tesla has found her forever home

Chelle Jan 17, 2010 01:13 PM

Today I put our little 3 legged foster dog on a plane to Oregon. I can't say I won't miss her. I can say that her new home will be wonderful for her. It's hard to explain to kids why we can't keep her. It's hard to explain to myself sometimes. Still, Tesla's "Gottcha Day" will always be celebrated. A little white shiba who had only 24 hours to live now has a whole lifetime ahead of her. In a few days, that will feel great!

Chelle, I've never met or seen Tesla, but reading your post sent little shivers down my back! I can tell you're going to miss her very much, but how great that she's going to be a cherished dog in her forever home. Are there children there?

My Mom & Dad say Oregon is a really neat place!

Chelle it's a great story and under your guidance a new family will have a terrific dog and Tesla will have found her forever home. I'm sure a few tears may have been shed today but they will soon be replaced with the smile of gratification.

This is wonderful news, Chelle. I'm so glad Tesla has found her home. I still keep in touch with Foster's dad (he's had her for three-and-a-half years now). But I know even when a foster has a wonderful home, it's hard to let her go. . . .
