Too funny......

Skaket Jan 31, 2010 02:48 PM

I heard a noise in the kitchen and saw that Katie wasn't in her bed so I figured that I had better go investigate. I found that she had opened the cabinet where her dog food is and had pulled the bag out on the kitchen floor. LOL I told her that it was too early to eat and put the bag back in the cabinet. She gave me a funny look.

Apparently you and Katie are not looking at the same clock. LOL Nothing like a gentle hint.

Go Katie Girl!!!

She's never done that before, Cheryl in her fourteen years. I'd say something if I was late feeding her but I wasn't. I tried to get a picture after she had pulled it all the way out on the kitchen floor but the battery in the camera needed charging. I was just happy that the entire bag didn't spill all over the floor.

Gee Mary Lou don't you feed that pup. When it is time for ours to eat they will sit and stare at you. If you don't make a move to feed them, Becker junps up in Eloise's lap. I'll say Hungry in the Kitchen and they go wild. Running in circles and jumping up. Or I can just say Hungry or Kitchen and get the same reaction. Heck I can spell either word and they know what I mean.

When Boomer would come in and be wet we would tell him to get his towel and he would run and get it. I still miss my buddy Boom.

Oh, Katie loves her supper, Gary.I think that they're smarter than we usually give them credit for. She's never done that before so it really surprised me. Katie will react to the word supper if I say, "Want your supper, Katie?"

I'm sure you do miss Boomer, Gary. I still think about my cocker, Muffin my beagle, Chipper and my cat, Spijo. Chipper and Spijo were great buddies. I guess that they remain forever in our hearts.

Well depends on the dog, I can leave the bag out and Pandie won't touch it, but one of my client dogs Sonny will try to get to any kind of food anywhere.
Gary I know you must think of Boomer often, it is just so difficult to lose them.
I miss my dogs very much, but I know that Dukum and Annie have wonderful new families. Pandie is so attached to me at the hip these days, I went out for a bit and came back to her sitting on my brother in laws lap, he said she starting crying and barking after I left, so he picked her up to comfort her, things are different now and she gets upset so easily. I think I went 5 years without ever hearing her bark or cry and now she does it each time she can't find me.

Katie's never been a barker either and she still isn't unless one of her toys is under something and she can;t reach it. She will also give a little bark if I'm eating something just to let me know that she's there in case I want to share something with her. LOL

Well, Mr. Nick is quite the little guard dog! He will alert me to every bird and squirrel in the neighborhood. And Heaven forbid they come in his yard! LOL

Gary my two are the same way! They know exactly when it is food time or treat time! They even tell me when it is time for me to go to bed! LOL
