I've got new pets

deetu Mar 22, 2010 10:42 PM

I decided to get regular fish after losing my seahorse until I can get a bigger tank. I decided on three different fish I wanted but the pet store was having trouble getting the main one I wanted. He got one but they came in really tiny. So when I saw these two, I had to have them.

I forgot to add this picture. The female is starting to get yellow in her white stripe. That makes it really, really pretty.

That is a clown fish as to what kind dont know. However you might want to watch out cuz some clown fish can get nasty with other fish.

Hey Panz, haven't seen you in a while. They will be in the tank by themselves so I won't have to worry.

They are gorgeous. They look like caramel and marshmallow stripes.

Did you name them?

Okay, found out that the maroons get twice as big as the regular Finding Nemo clowns so I'm not sure if I should keep them. Don't know if the store will exchange them but since he told me they would be okay in my tank... we will see.

After the research, I decided that it wasn't fair keep them. They may be stunted living in a smaller tank and they were too georgous to do that to. So with tears in my eyes, I brought them back. The pet store promised me they wouldn't break them up and keep them as a pair.
So I got credit until the fish that I do want come in. All well...

Awwwww, I'm sorry you had to take them back, Dee but it sounds like you did the right thing. I'm sure that you'll find some other fish that you'll like just as much. Keep us updated.

Thanks Mary Lou, yea, I really wanted to keep them but it was for the best.
They got the one fish I wanted in but not the other two. I want to put all three in quarantee together so they get used to each other and not be settled, thinking it was their territory and try to chase the other one off. Strangers going in together will bond together.

I didn't know about fish bonding, Dee. You learn something new all the time, I had a fish tank in my classroom and the kids loved to watch them. When we were on spring break, our custodian, Joe fed them. He was such a nice guy.
