Should I get a tri or lemon beagle?

I grew up with beagles. Three, to be exact. I am now in college and just recently got my first apartment. I have a little money saved up and have decided that I want to get my own beagle. A male.

The thing is, I'm wondering if I should get a tri-colored beagle or a lemon beagle. The three beagles I grew up with were all tri-colored, and they were good pups. But a family friend have a lemon beagle and she's an absolute sweetheart. So, I'm kinda leaning towards getting a lemon.

Does anybody have any experience with lemon beagles? Are they basically the same as tri-colored beagles, with just a different colored coat...?

Any insight or info would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

The color of a dog should be secondary thought to the temperment of a dog. I'm sure no matter whether the dog is lemon or a tri-colored if you choose wisely you will have a friend for life.
