Eyelid Problems

ZeusyGoosey Apr 06, 2010 09:41 AM

I noticed, for about 3 days, that my dogs lower eyelids were swollen and dropped down to where I could see the pink of his lid. His eye is teary and has greenish eye "boogers". I've been applying luke warm Chamomile tea around his eye with a cotton ball. It seems to be making some improvement. But is there anything else I could do to help speed up the recovery process? Also, what could this be? Thanks in advance.

This is called ectropion, and considering the time of year, I suspect it is some form of allergic reaction. It will probably go away as the pollen in the air changes, but you might try giving homeopathic Apis 30c for a while to try to get the dog over this reaction.
