Hi..I'm new and need help!!!

Hi everyone. New here and I need some info on anything you can help with. I have a Yorkie named Emma. She is my pride and joy. Well, she went into heat and I don't know how long she was in heat before I discovered that she was. During this time, she was around a male shih tzu. Now, I am suspecting she is pregnant. She went in her heat around end of March, beginning of April. I plan to take her to the vet cause I am assuming she is pregnant. She's become really clingy, eating a lot this past week and her stomach is growing and her nipples are alot bigger. She is only 1yr 5mos old. I planned on getting her fixed, but husband got laid off, I am in school with no job and I have 4 kids. When I got Emma, we were making a very comfortable income. I wasn't expecting none of this. So, please...understand me cause I know that this is a very controversial subject.
Anyhoo...I'm thinking she's around 5 weeks along? I'm mainly nervous cause she is 4lbs and the shih tzu is around 12lbs. I don't want to lose her due to some complication during labor. She is like a child to me. I've only had one other dog in my life that was like that to me and I don't know if I could go through that again. I have 4 kids, ages 15,13,9 and 7.
Some questions are...when will I see puppies moving around in her stomach? What can I expect week to week? Should I be giving her vitamin supplements? I know alot of this is information that I need to find out from her vet....but like I said, limited income and need to get funds to take her cause I have 4 kids. I have one week left at my internship and for finishing school as a dental assistant. With the possibility of being hired(crossing fingers) and that I can use the income to raise money for healthcare for Emma. I keep hoping that dogs have been giving birth for awhile and everything will turn out. I have to pray anyways. Thanks for any support, advise and information that you can give me. Again, I am sorry that I don't have a sizeable income to do what should be done for my furbaby. What money can't buy for her, my love is given instead.
Tori

You are right to be very, very concerned. Dogs that small are at very high risk giving birth anyway, and all the more so with a bigger male. Any way you look at it, you are apt to have some expenses. Consider having the pregnancy terminated and her spayed at the same time. It could very well save her life.
