Hello to you!
All are good in my house. We've been taking in temporary fosters and dog sitting quite a bit. Had a loud Alaskan Klee Kai puppy for 8 days. Sweet personality, but vocal. Kita's better with puppies than I ever would have expected. Taiko does better when they are a bit older. We have to be a bit selective on what personalities comes in, but generally by the second night, they are safe to romp with my two- with supervision.
Kita is getting more white in her face and that saddens me, but her vet loves how she's doing. She turns 11 this summer. She is the worlds best family dog. Cuddly, friendly, enjoys the neighbor kids, plays "house" with my daughter, and is a pillow for my son when he plays video games. Does a good shiba spaz every morning to liven up the whole house. Enjoys her "dog gum" of Polly Pocket shoes daily.
Taiko continues to competatively run agility with me at least one day every other weekend. We still go to classes, but those too tend to not be every week. It's not that we don't enjoy classes, it's just we are at a point of polishing skills and working on subtle handling/teamwork stuff. That type of stuff allows me to work at home on it some away from the instructor. If anyone had told me 5 years ago how complex and important the little things were in this sport, I would not have believed them. Still, it's fun to finally master a skill and see it work going over 5 YPS on a course. Taiko is the opposite of Kita. He's MY dog and not the family's dog. He's sweet and cuddly to me. Everyone else is staff.
Ying and yang- that's my two. Forever balanced.
