Hi Sally,
Great to hear from you. I'm doing fine and Katie is doing well for a fourteen year old. Her sight is failing, however. Sometimes I find her staring at a blank wall. I just pick her up and face her in another direction and she moves on. It's so sad to watch her though. She is able to find her bed in the living room and her food and water dishes in the kitchen, however. How are you and Trudy doing in your new home? You folks are probably still settling in.

hey Mary Lou, there is a product for cataracts that seems to work. I would have tried it for Ayla except her's came on so fast they were afraid of her retina detaching so I didn't use it but have used it for my cat and it worked.
They sell it in the pharmacy in the eye section and is a natural product in a box. There are several to choose from... pink eye, dry eye and cataract. Give it a try.

I am sorry Katie's eyes are not doing well. I have not heard of that med. Interesting. It is SO hard to hear Katie with problems. Please give her a hug from me and Trudy.

Thanks, Sally. She's doing pretty well with it though. It breaks my heart to see her just staring at the wall though every now and then. If I go out, I block a few areas where I don't want her to go but I really think that when I go out, she goes to her bed and has a little snooze for herself. I'll give her a great big hug from both you and Trudy.

Thanks for that information, Dee. I'll check with the vet when I take her in for her annual visit. She also sleeps a lot now. I have to wake her up when it's time for her to go to bed for the night. She still sleeps through the night though although she is getting up earlier in the morning but still sleeps longer than I do so atleast she isn't waking me up real early. <G>

We love our house. Wonderful area. Being ill has been hard. I can't go walking with Trudy. My husband just took me for a drive in the VW Beetle he bought me when we thought I was well enough to drive! Trudy went too. We were looking at flags like Christmas lights! Trudy has been wearing her sailor dress for flag day! Her is a pic from today. The picture of the flag is from the front porch.

Neighborhoods here have these big flags on the days like Flag Day, Memorial Day.... The boy scouts put them up and take them down. You give them money and they do the work. They look so pretty house after house. Called Flags across America. Nice.

Sally, I'm so sorry that you're ill and can't do the things that you would like to do. Perhaps down the road, things will be better for you. I'll certainly keep you in my prayers.

That's a beautiful picture. Trudy looks adorable wearing her sailor dress.
