The departure of a Special Pharaoh

Alitaly Jun 14, 2010 10:47 AM

I have just received the sad news that Tari, DC Anubis' Churuka Nefertari GK SC, has passed away last night while sleeping.

She was a special Pharaoh Hound and a real beauty. She was the mother of our Koby and Linda and Greg' s Tipster. She leaves behind children, grand children and now great grand children. She was sweet, affectionate and gorgeous! She was one of the most beautiful Pharaoh Hounds around and she will always be remembered as such by the people who had the fortune to have met her. The image of her personality, her sweetness and her beauty will remain in all of us.

Greg and Linda, I know what this loss means to you, but always remember that she lives in her children and her descendants. Every time we look at Koby, we will see her also.

Tari, you had a great life with great people... enjoy and play with all the other pharaohs up there. You will always be remembered till we meet again...

Koby... with Alvaro, Cindy and Jacqueline

Allan and I were very sad to hear about Tari's passing although we had known for a while that Tari was not doing well. Last time I was over there though, Tari was attempting to rip the pockets off my suit to get to the liver bait in them. I, of course, gave her the bait

Our thoughts will be with Linda and Greg during this sad time as the number of sweet Pharaoh Hounds in their house is poorer by one.

Yes, I remember that day so well. I was holding her when Greg came back from lurecoursing. He looked at the little bundle in my arms then at Pam and asked, "is this serious" her reply was,
"yes, very". The rest is 13 years of history. She always had a mind of her own. Loved to play show dog, would bark outside the ring until it was her turn. Loved to lure course. She was our qualifier. We used her to qualify so many of her extended family. She was even DQ'd once early on in her career because she didnt fancy sharing the bunny.

I shall always remember Tari's toes. I laughed at her extremely long toes. I used to say, she could wear rings on those fingers. Of course there are hundreds of other moments and things that I shall remember about the sweet Girl.

She will be missed so much. She was the good Witt dog, didn't cause any problems even to end. Didn't want to be a bother, would insist in her last hours to go outside to peepee.
