Anybody interested in collecting their Shiba fur? The organization "Matter of Trust" is collecting human or pet fur/hair to be used to clean up the oil spill. My almost 6-yr old daughter Katharine was growing her hair for Locks of Love but is now wanting to send it to help save the sea creatures. Brewster is blowing coat now, so I know we can collect a bunch from him. They are also looking for clean nylons with small runs, only. They make mats and nylon tubes filled with fur to clean the spills (hair absorbs oil quickly).
Katharine is going to post signs in our neighborhood to collect from the dogs. They want a certain amount (I have to look into the specifics) per donation. I would be willing to collect it all and ship a large box down if anyone is interested, let me know. I will then send you an email with my home addy.
