Well we are not sure what is going on with Kiko. After she goes potty within the half hour she is acting like she is in pain and her butt is very swollen. This has been going on for a couple of days. Its almost like a muscle spasm. We took her to the vet everything looks good. Called the vet again last night and now she is on Metacam for anti-inflamitory. Tonight back to the vet we go. The poor girl this really has us baffled. Anyone seen anything like this with there pups?

That's a new one. I hope you can get it figured out and have Kiko comfortable again very soon. Keep us posted. If you were closer I'd give you a vet reference.

Dave... never ran across anything like this. Do you think it's related to her anal gland problem?

Bob, Dont think so. Sunday when we brought her in, her anal sac was empty. We are really puzzled by this.

Could she be constipated or have an intestinal blockage (i.e. some stool passing by, but some can't get out). Similar things have happened with my non-furry children. Or, could it be related to the anal sack issues? Good luck! Poor girl!

The swelling makes me think of some sort of bite, but I'd think she would be scooting, licking, etc., if that were the case. Could she have gotten something that cut or injured her as it passed through? I'm sure you've checked her stools for ruff stuff or blood, though. Please keep us posted!
