2 Jul 2010 update 10:46am: OUTSTANDING NEWS!!!!! Uber's labwork came back normal, he is clotting again!! He is still oozing blood but not at an alarming rate. Since I am a nurse the doctor is going to review with the team about sending him home today for me to manage at home. He still will be on fluids and IV pain meds and will need wound care, but I can manage all of those.

Since the swelling is reducing, they are going to hold off the compartment syndrome surgery until next week, if still needed.... Also they asked if he could be their sponsored pet of the month. At this point I have no idea what that means, but their marketing department will be contacting me....I'm crying here at work and I don't care!!!

Yes the one and only miracle dog----UBER!!!! Ok so I'm a bit excited.... he still is in serious condition, but the doctor feels he will do better at home until next week when they decide if he will need surgery....

His whole body is still pretty swollen and he is in ALOT of pain...but he is home with the family...I am at a loss of words right now trying to register all the emotions going on right now...

But I just can't thank you all enough!!!!

Can I say I LOVE YOU, even to people I never met??!?!?

Dear Bekki,
What an ordeal you have experienced (and are experiencing)...such an emotional roller coaster...and just a general all around difficult time! To see the news that Uber is now home with you, continuing to show improvement, is simply fantastic. Even though I know that the hospital staff has undoubtedly fallen in love with him, it's really terrific that he is well enough to be home with you, since that is surely less stressful, for both Uber and for you. The anxiety of not being able to be with him 24/7, when he's in the clinic, is tough, we know. Hopefully, each day, you'll see significant improvements, and we are sending our thoughts and love in your direction! Certainly sounds as though he is experiencing a good recovery!!! HOORAY!!!
