Great News indeed! I am so happy for Uber and for you. This is fantastic especially that he was able to fight back after what he has experienced. .... AH, these Pharaoh Hounds!

Now that the worst has passed, we need to find some humor again... So, next time you and Uber come here in the West, you are welcome to try our great gourmet specialty: rattle snakes!

...just joking!

YAY for Uber! Wonderful news...I'm so glad to hear he's doing well.

Maybe sometime he and Corsair can compare notes on toad and snake experiences. Both were unfortunate but lucky to have been strong enough to survive. Must be something to do with being a PH. Give your handsome boy a hug for me.

When your club sets up snake aversion training be sure the trainer emphasizes the smell rather than rattle or movement of the snake as the main trigger. Apparently the aversion applies only to the actual snake species used. I may do gopher and king snake aversion. I hate to see harmless snakes that eat rodents killed just because they are snakes. The king snake is good to have around because they are a rattlesnake repellent. They are immune to the venom and will kill and eat rattlers.

Bekki,

These have been trying days for you and your dogs. So happy to know he is on the mend. Those were some really scary days for all of us.

Hoping to see you back in the ring this fall.
