Hairy did it!

topdog Jul 19, 2010 12:51 AM

A small brag for Hairy. He went lure coursing this weekend and at the ripe old age of 17 months and 3 days he won 2 BOB's and had a runoff today for BIF. He didn't get that one but he came home with 2 majors and his Field Champion title making him a DC! We are very proud of little Hairy.

He ran beautifully, Crystal. And (I'm so jealous ) still has beautiful follow!

We had a great weekend up here. I think it was 15 Pharaohs on Saturday and 17 on Sunday.

Two brand new running brothers joined us, earned their QCs and then took home 3 points each over the two days. It was really fun helping these enthusiastic boys and their very nice owners - and even more fun watching them get bitten by the coursing bug!

My Rooney won the Specials stake both days, adding 10 points to his LCX total. If I get the energy to lure course more than a few times a year, he might actually finish that title some day! His sister, Zahi, was behind him in second both days. And Glory, their mother, was third. Fun family placement!

And, as I said, Harry was unstoppable, taking breed both days.

Had many Pharaohs spending the night at my place. This is such a great breed. Throw 10 of them into my house and everyone gets along. I'm proud that my three are gracious hosts whenever we have fellow Pharaoh Hounds over.

I had fun but I gotta' say that I don't think there's a single muscle in my body that isn't aching!!

***You were lucky Carmen. When we had the coursing at our clinic, we counted 32 dogs at the house on Friday and Saturday night. Of course, not all PHs.

Wow, I guess I was lucky. It was bad enough tripping over 10 crazy dogs as I tried to get dinner made. The most we've ever had running around was 16 a few years back. I don't think I could walk if there were more than that; we just don't have the floor space!
