It's good to see such strong support for the Nationals/Eastern. We all have to prioritize these days and I'm gratified to see so many people giving preference to our breed. I am sure corners are being cut so many of you can go. I would have had to make a U-turn. Not possible this year.

Good luck to all the entrants. I know it will be a wonderful time.

I wasn't sure if I were going to go this year since I've been unemployed for over 2 years!! But I'm going!!! I've been having garage sales all summer and made a little over 1,000.00!! Sold almost all my horse equipment and Harley leathers plus little stuff! Makes me a little ill knowing half that money is going into a gas tank!

I know how you feel Marie -- the economy has really slowed down Allan's consulting business so the National was NOT in our budget. I've been doing technical writing on the side to pay for my trip to the National. It is so expensive with the flight (Ruadh and I), renting a car, renting a hotel......but it should be great fun!!

I was wondering what the average amount of dogs usually attend this event? Killian was entered about 5 yrs ago at the Eastern and took home an AOM but I was thinking at that time there were maybe 30-40 tops.
