Never did quite understand the name Labor day. Lots of people don't work on that day. LOL

Here you go. I was just curious so I looked it up. LOL

Labor Day, holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September to honor the laborer. It was inaugurated by the Knights of Labor in 1882 and made a national holiday by the U.S. Congress in 1894.

You too, Gary and all. So far we have a nice forecast for the weekend but here in New England you never know. As Mary Twain once said, "If you don't like New England weather, wait a minute." Boy, was he right on the money. LOL

It is always nice to have a long weekend when you are working
I guess if we didn't have this holiday, there would be 4 months without one for working people! LOL

Gary, we've had beautiful weather here as well. They were concerned about about Hurricane Earl but it downgraded to a tropical storm and moved away from the coast thank goodness, I guess Cape Cod got some strong winds and high seas but nothing really that bad.
