How are you all?

Trudysmom Oct 20, 2010 12:17 PM

I have been preparing for my phone consultation with my doctor today. I research hours each day, so every few weeks, I get all my notes ready and I can ask questions. I have pages to ask each time. I am so blessed to have a doctor that knows about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Dysautonomia. I have been to many docs and specialists and NONE knew anything. They get NO training in med. school about it. Really shocking and sad.

My Integrative MD KEEPS learning! Not sure why others don't, easy to just do the same ole thing I guess.

Trudy is doing fine. I hope to be able to walk her again! I am so frustrated. Fred walks her and I can go in my w.chair, but that is not what I want. I can walk fine, it is the Dysautonomia/blood flow that is the problem. Lightheadedness, awful.

How are you Mary Lou? I think of you and Katie often. I know Gary and Phyl have lost furkids too. It is so sad. I know our furkids would not want us to be so sad, but it is awful.

Pretty warm today. 88 for the high. I am inside so I am always cool.

Hope everyone is doing OK.

Hi Sally,
It's so good to hear from you. I'm so sorry to hear about your Fatigue Syndrome and Dysautonomia but glad to hear that you've found a doctor who can help you. I sure hope that you'll be able to walk your precious Trudy soon without any problems.

I'm hanging in there but still miss my sweet Katie. It does get better each day though. I'm just so thanksful that I was able to have her for almost fifteen years.

Yes, that is a good life for Katie. We sure wish it could always be longer though. I hope your heart heals a little each day. I do miss her.

So glad to hear that you and Sissy are doing well, Chris. I pray that she won't be bothered by those stones. They must be very painful for her.

It's getting cold here also and I'm not looking forward to winter. Raking up leaves is fine but shoveling the "S" is another story. I'm not even ready to say the word. LOL

I agree, Sally. We never have our little ones as long as we would like but we don't want to see them suffer and I'm so glad that Katie never showed any signs of having any pain.

Yes, it is wonderful Katie didn't have major problems for years as so many doggies do.

I hope your "S" is not too bad this year, Mary Lou!

I hope Miss Sissy will get a clean bill of health!

I hope so too, Sally. At least I have someone lined up to do the plowing if we do. I also put my window bird feeder up. Unfortunately, the squirrels have found it also. I guess the birds are going to have to share it with the squirrels. It worked out well last winter so hopefully, the squirrels will share again this winter.

Both Eloise's and my health are going downhill but we just try to grin and bear it.

Poor Becker has been sick. Last Frtiday night he had a spell and we were unable to get any Vet to answer their emergency phone so we just ahd to sweat it out with him and pray. He finally came out of it after about 10 mins. but was not in the best shape. Saturady morning I called our Vet and tolsd them I was taking him in to them I did not ask for an appointment I just told them to be ready to see him. They think he may have ha a minnie stroke. Then Sunday morning he had another short spell but came out of it rather quickly. They have put him on some different meds for siezures and so forth. I don't know if the Vet knows what is going on. Then this morning he woke us up at about 6am screaming and shaking. He was having a really bad siezure. This was the worst one he has ever had. It took him about 7 minutes to get his wits about him. He hasn't been eating very well either but this evening he dug in and ate like the old Becker. Now that Tootles is having the same type of siezure, we have both dogs with them and the Vet thinks it might be genetic. It is very scary.

I hope Sissy has a great check up. Those old stones are not fun for them.

Oh Gary, I'm so sorry to hear about Becker and Tootles. I guess that when they get up there in age, many things can develop. My prayers are with you all.

With all of you being sick, have you ever thought of having your water checked? My sister had two dogs that had seizers... two different breeds and the town had water problems from a chemical plant up river. Might be something to look into.

Ayla and I are doing fine. I have pictures of her "helping" me fix my barn but haven't shrunk them yet so you will have to wait.
Allergies aren't as bad this year, thank you Lord!

We went looking at some areas to see about moving but the closer to the beach you are, the more you have to give up. I'd be going from a big house on 6 acres to a saltbox squeezed in between some hotels. Told hubby it would be nice if we could be snowbirds. Hey Sally, might be visiting!

The best would be if we had two retirement communities. They are affordable and if we traveled 1/2 year each, someone would be there to keep an eye on our other house. But we are still too young for that.

Love you guys! ((hugs))
