Coursing in Black Canyon City AZ today

Today a lure trial was held in Central AZ - AKC, small entry but a great day for weather, great people and some fine running dogs. Portuguese Podengo were there in significant numbers and they ran very well. There were two IGs competing along with Basenji, Ridgebacks, Saluki, Afghans, and Whippets. I am happy to report that Journey finally had a good practice run and I have renewed hopes that she will realize that coursing is FUN. All credit goes to a very skilled and helpful LO!!!

Pharaoh Hounds attending were Shauna's Rory and my Corsair and MeToo. Rory ran in open, Corsair in Specials and MeToo in veterans. Rory prevailed in BOB.

Haley (whippet) was BIF in a closely contested runoff.

Tomorrow is another day on the field - may the best PH prevail.
