Well, BOY AM I DUMB!!!!!!
Yesterday I recieved a juvy garter, and finally today I got him to eat a worm. He struggled, but got it down. SO, I pick him up to put him back in his real cage, he regurgitates IT!!!!!!!!I forgot,DOHHHHHHH!

How long generally speaking should you leave the snake for generally speaking before, you can handle it again? SHould I just sort if plop it fdrom its feeder cage to its real cage?

Tips are helpful
Steven

How often do you think I should feed him every week? He's a round a foot and very sleek

I usually just plop them back in, being careful to avoid touching the stomach. A hook can be helpful here to support the head of a wriggly snake. I don't have garters, but this works for everyone else.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

This is one of the reasons I leave my snakes in their own home to feed (inspite of the bite risk). Just yesterday I fed my sub-adult Popes and he threw up the pinkie as I closed his cage lid-twice. some snakes are just that nervous. I normaly do not handle or move my snakes fore at least two days after feeding.

Put the snake in a small deli cup with its food item. After it eats, place the deli cup in its original cage, take the top off, and just let it crawl out on its own. It'll know the right way to move where it won't make itself regurgitate. You'll only need to do something like this if you have it housed with other snakes, or if you're worried about it swallowing whatever substrate you're using in its cage. Otherwise, just feed it in its own cage.

Just wait about 2 or three days before holding the snake after it eating, and it should be fine.

Good luck.
