He's having these allergy tests done. Is there anything I should ask or request? I was reading about either blood testing for allergies or some tests are done directly on the skin. Blood tests for allergies are not reliable. I would suggest, since his thyroid levels are low, putting him on thyroid supplements before doing any tests for allergies. He should get 0.1 mg of l-thyroxine for every 12 lbs of body weight, twice a day. If he still has problems after 6-8 weeks, do the skin testing.
