Happy New Year...

Just a note to let you all know the PHCA Western Regional Specialty is just around the corner.

Once again, the Western will be held in Silverado Canyon (Orange County) at the same beautiful location where it was held last year, and our Specialty will be held on April 15, 2011, followed by two days of all hound shows on April 16-17, 2011.

We will again offer Obedience, Rally and Lure Coursing on Saturday.

This year we will have a lunch and the RETURN of the silent auction/raffle drawing in conjunction with one of the days.

Unlike the Eastern and the National, the Western relies on a general trophy fund only. Although I know times are tough all over, any donation will help make this a sucess.

Please send donations, made payable to ROBERT NEWMAN to 719 E Tularosa Avenue, Orange, CA 92866. We rely on our members to support these specialties.

The committee handling the raffle/silent auction will post here separately.

I will post more details as they become available, and I hope you will all make an effort to attend.

To add to Robert's post, Crystal Moore and I will be in charge of the raffle and silent auction =) We've already got three different artists donating original pieces they're working on specifically for the auction - any other artists who'd like to donate are more than welcome!
We also need more donations for the raffle table; from Egyptian, Pharaoh Hound, dog-themed items to anything else you think will be fun. You can bring items with you to the Western or ship them to Crystal or I beforehand. Larger items can also be sent to Robert(who'll also be emceeing the raffle, yay!).

Lunch will be FREE!!! We'll be hosting a cookout at Crystal's & our setup, all you have to do is show up and grab your eats, then hang around, enjoy your food and win some goodies!
