Just a quick brag about Miss Rory - last weekend she completed her Beginner Novice title (with 3 qualifying scores in just 3 shows!) -- to be, what I think is the first Pharaoh Hound to achieve this title (please correct me if I'm wrong!)....but I'm SURE she won't be the the last....as this title is the PERFECT introduction to obedience for our high-flight-risk Hounds!

Then, today I believe she made Pharaoh Hound (and American Rottweiler Club) history by earning her Carting Started title...and she did it in style by winning her class with a perfect score of 200 and earning the High In Test award! I'm super proud of my little girl! (For those that are interested....carting is a fun sport where the dog pulls a cart carrying 40lbs around a course...similar to a rally course -- it's put on by the American Rottweiler Club and is open to ALL breeds...more info can be found on the ARC website at www.amrottclub.org)

Thanks for letting me brag on my versatile girl!!

Congrats Rory and Shawna. You have done a wonderful job with your first pharaoh hound in many areas - all owner handled and trained. I love the photo with Rory looking at the goodies in the basket with the "excuss me, but I earn thoses so let's have it!" look on her face. I can't wait to see carting photos.

Big congratulations on your and Miss Rory's successes. The two of you are a great team! And a large part of that, I think, is because you realize she's a Pharaoh Hound and just laugh when she does Pharaoh Hound things. Happy for both of you!

I have to apologize for the language at the beginning - my videographer has a bit of a potty mouth and I'm guessing she must've stubbed her toe or something as she was walking.

Here's the video of the down stay portion -- not too exciting, but Rory manages to add her own spin on it about a minute into it, and make SURE the judge knows that she is really all the way down.

That is unbelievable! What a great accomplishment for you and Rory! You have done such a variety of things with your girl - I am extremely impressed! I still can't get my girls to even come in when I call them (unless it is very cold).
