2 questions about feeding and food

flammingcat May 27, 2003 10:09 PM

I have seen a few people say they were not going to feed there hatchlings crickets because of the parasites, at the show we went to there was a couple with tubs, and tubs full of baby dragons all the way up to 4mth old dragons, they said they never fed their crickets, but they all looked healthy, I brought one home, he mowed down on some crickets, he didn't act afraid of them or anything like he was use to them. So my question is, is it healthy for them to just eat the pellets and greens. I can't get my babies to eat the pellets, they came right out of the egg, eating. They will eat the greens, I've noticed they eat it better if they can watch it fall into the plate, I always offer the pellets but they don't try to eat them. Any advise on getting them to eat more pellets?
Thanks

Mine won't eat the pellets, either. You might try soaking the pellets in apple juice; just don't feed the pellets to your dragon baby dry.

Hi
Thanks for the advise, just so you don't worry, I'am soaking the pellets, I'm using baby apple juice, and baby fruit juice, letting the pellets soak p all the juice, about 10 mins, till the juice is gone and then giving it to them, does that sound right?
Thanks
I'll post a picture as soon as I get a new camera, wouldn't you know it my camera breaks 3 days before they hatch The replacement camera is not working right these, baby's are really beautiful, the mom is a pastel, (well thats what you guys told me ) she is a really light peach, with pink on her sides, thedad is a sunburst, the baby's are looking more like the mom, with a tint of yellow.
