Hi Shibas and Families,
Hope everyone is enjoying life and survived any St. Patty's Day pinches that might have come your way. Everything is lovely, mellow, and quiet on our side. We hope everything is equally as wonderful on your side, please let us know what's going on out there....We miss you!

Hi Patty-- and, All

It's good to have your nudge to post! Seems we all get busy and the posts just don't happen very often. Things are good here, and Spring is just beginning to happen....much to Murphy's delight!

Quite awhile back, I posted about Murphy having spells when he would get very upset and tremble, pant, and pace. We were trying hard to discover what was upsetting him. Well, we have finally determined what it was.....bet you'll never guess!

It was a sound in the TV commercials of one of the nation-wide stores! We saw his reaction to the sound a few times and knew that was where the problem was. Our solution was actually pretty simple. We just keep the remote at hand and mute all the commercial breaks! No more panic attacks and he is once more relaxed and happy, curled up on the couch while we are watching TV. Plus, we can have little chats during the breaks...some are quite long! LOL

I'm sure glad Mom & Dad got rid of that scary noise!

Isn't it amazing how certain sounds can be a source of such discomfort! We are so happy to hear that Murphy is once again relaxing and loving the couch....the way all our pups should! We can't to hear from you and the rest of the group very soon...

Not to much happening here. Just glad to see the snow finally gone well the huge banks anyway. Also makes it so much easier for Beni to navigate around the backyard instead of trying to follow the paths I had to snowblow out back.

I would love to see how my Beni and Kari deal with the snow, I bet they would be in a winter wonderland! They come to life when it is windy with a bit of sprinkles....all the wonderful smells swirling around just seem to make them feel like puppies again. Thanks for sharing, and we want to hear from the rest of you out there!

Heading into the major spring shed/coat blowing marathon here!

I'm not sure if I'm lucky or not....Beni and Kari have never "blown their coat", but they do shed 24/7 365 days a year (366 for the Leap Year). As soon as I finish vacuuming one of them HAS to do the "Shiba Shake", I'm sure it is just to spite me! I have invested in 2 vacs - 1 for upstairs and 1 for downstairs - a lot easier for me. Nevertheless, I wouldn't trade either of them for all the tea in China....or all the "What evers" in "Where ever" they are!!! They are my pups forever!!!!
