We've received quite a few RSVPs for the picnic, hope more of you are planning to join us(free eats,yay!). If you don't get a chance to let us know you'll be attending, no worries, come on over and join the fun! We've got some beautiful, one-of-a-kind works of art for the silent auction to tempt you with, including a stunning, handmade canopic jar graciously donated by Alex Wood/Anubis Pharaohs! Fun raffle goodies, too, we expect everyone will have a grand time!

After Specialty judging is concluded make your way over to Crystal Moore's setup for your plate(there'll be seconds and more!), then down to the pavilion to eat & gab. The raffle and auction will take place then, too. Raffle tickets will be available from noon Thursday, 4/14/2011, until the start of the raffle. See me or Crystal for tickets.

If the artwork isn't enough, I will be bringing a water resistant, fully lined snowsuit for the auction.
If you can't make the auction but know someone you can call or text to bid for you we will accept that too. It will be given to the bidder upon payment. Perfect for cold northern climates. Fits average male.

Not sure what the dimensions are on this one as I've not seen it & well, I forgot to ask, lol. It's being hand-delivered to me in Cali. I can say that I've seen some of Alex's other pieces and they're always stunning =)
*This piece is Texas terra cotta that I made into slip from clay form - only one done in this clay.

Crystal will have to post a picture of the snowsuit and will be picking up one of the art donations on her way down to SoCal, we'll try to get a picture posted of it here before the raffle. I'm waiting on another which should arrive in the next day or two, will have a picture up as soon as I have it in hand

I'll post a picture of the other piece in another reply.

Dimensions on the canopic jar are 20" tall x 8" in diameter.

Looks like I need to post a picture of the snowsuit for the auction. Here is the suit being modeled by Hairy. He is at the low side of the standard for height and it is big on him so it will fit a larger dog.

I wasn't thinking. I just started working my 4X10's and haven't had much sleep. I need to correct the statement about Hairy being on the low side of standard. He is actually 25 inches.

Here is another picture of the snowsuit showing the pink fleece lining. It also comes with a separate neck piece. It looks a bit blue in the photos but is actually a rich purple in color.
