Sulcata=kitty cat?

My African Spur-thigh makes meowing noises like a cat. When I first heard him doing it I had honestly thought that one of the neighborhood cats had gotten into my reptile room. After an extensive search I was finally able to discover that the tortoise was making the noises. Anyone familiar with this and why these tortoises would make this noise? Mike

could it be wheezing? I don't know of a sound besides a tort wheezing that a sulcatta would make and could be confused with a cat.
