Bairdi are like a box of chocolates.........unless you are able to see the parents, you can never be sure exactly what you going to get. The adult male in the pic is now 4 years old and just over 5 feet long. That guy is probably the best 15 bucks I ever spent on a baby rat snake..........lol

It's always made it great for people buying baby bairds rat snakes. I love seeing people post on the forum "I can't wait until they are adults to see how they will turn out". They are the only North American rat snake that has transverse blotches and stripes during their lifetime. Not only do they make a drastic pattern to stripe change, but they have almost the full spectrum of color to draw from for the edges of their scales. Is he passing on any of those genes to offspring Steve?

She has some nice Bairds' stripes. She's making a nice transition from transverse blotches to stripes. Good luck.
