I was wondering what a good tank size/proportion would be for a small colony of RETF. I plan for it to serve as a breeding tank, and a display tank. Chances are its going to be a planted tank, using a false bottom system, with water in the front of the tank. So the water are will be about 3-4" of the front of the tank. The rest will be land, and it will all be Living with moss, and orchids, etc. Lots of plant life, and good lighting. I was thinking about getting a 30 gallon tall or so. Does this sound good? Tall is better usually right? And RETF lay their eggs over water correct? So if they hatch, the tadpoles fall into the water?
