baby virginia possum

pnev24 Aug 12, 2007 11:32 PM

I recently found a very wounded possum while snake hunting and when i inspected it i found it had a pair of babies. I did the most humane thing and put the mother out of its misery and and took the babies home. I have already looked up several care sheets, but can not find any information on what to feed the babies except yogurt and cat formula. Any help one what to feed and feeding methods would be much appreciated, thank you.

Hi, I hope I'm not too late for a reply... but you should feed it Esbilac, it's a nursing milk replacement for dogs and cats and it works for other animals too. It is sold at nearly all pet stores. Also buy a syringe to feed it with (should be at the pet store too).
Hope this helps!
