everything i read on these little guys talks about everything but what kind of lighting to use. i know they don't need uv, but do they need a photo period? mine seems to hide all day so i wonder if they are nocturnal? i can't find any info on this. please help.

Crested Geckos are extremely nocturnal. They dont need UV because of this. All you need to make sure is the temp should be in the mid to upper 70's. YOu can use red heat night lights if the temp drops much below 70 during the night. a 12 hour day/night cycle is best.

my appartment stays at 74 degrees all the time, is that still too cool? i was thinking of putting a 15 watt daylight bulb to light it, but now i think i'll just let the light from the windows do it. i can't find 15 watt red heat bulbs, will a 15 watt moonglow bulb work?

He ate tonight. He would usually stay on the sides of the tank, but tonight he was all over the place. I misted his cage around 11 pm. then 5 seconds later he was eating a cricket. Thanks for your help guys.

Mike.
