Hello,
I'm from the cathobbyist site. But my sister has a male chinchilla and two female degus (at least we thought). Anyway one of the degus just had SEVEN babies. Well we aren't sure how old the babies are. I just happened to go give them treat because they were making a lot of noise. My sister was down there last night. She didn't see any babies. But I wouldn't have either if I hadn't seen two crawling around the bottom of their cage. I actually thought it was a mouse at first. Than realized it was a baby and there wasn't one but two. I started yelling to my mom. She had me put on rubber gloves and move them (the two babies up to another cage. Than I went down to get the mom and found FIVE more inside this little wooden house thingy. We have her separated now with the babies.

But if any one has any information they can share on how we should be handling this, please send me an email.

Thanks,
Jaime
